Before 1973:
William Afton is a husband to his wife Clara (speculated name) and father to three children; Michael, Elizabeth, and Evan. He is not a good man, he is (heavily implied to be) abusive and neglectful to his family. He meets Henry Emily, also a husband, and father of two children; Charlotte and Sammy.1973:
These men were geniuses, regarding mechanical creations. They decide to start a business together, putting their minds at work. Their business name is Fazbear Entertainment. They open a family restaurant, Fredbear's Family Diner. It was a party style diner, where kids could have parties as they could make a lot of profit from this.William and Henry wanted to make this place different, so they created animatronic suits, known as 'springlock suits', named Fredbear and Springbonnie. These suits were built so that they could not only function on their own, but could fit an adult human to operate the machine. There was a fatal flaw in these springlock suits, failure could occur. There are two ways this can happen. If water or moisture got into these suits, or if the springlocks were incorrectly winded up, the person inside would (in simple terms) explode inside the suit due to the machinery reducing to its original position. They took extreme care for their employees, making sure that these failures never occurred.

1983:
There was a TV show dedicated to them, called 'Fredbear and Friends'. (As far as I know, this show ended shortly after it aired, and didn't lead to anything else).Due to the huge success of Fredbear's Family Diner, the partners decided to open Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria. This restaurant hosted the real life introduction of the franchise's most iconic animatronics; Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie the Bunny, Chica the Chicken, and Foxy the Pirate. It was going well for William and Henry, but one wanted more than the business could offer.William was a horrible man with an even worse mental state. His need for something more grew and it turned extremely violent. 5 children would enter the Pizzeria but never come out. William, as Springbonnie, lures these children into a room and murders them all. No bodies were found however, because they were all stuffed inside the animatronics. Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy and Golden Freddy.Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria closes.William decides to create a side location named Circus Baby's Pizza World after the closing of the previous restaurant. He becomes infatuated with the concept of immortality. He creates Circus Baby, an animatronic with a terrible function. She can make balloons, take song requests, even hand out ice cream. However, she was also programmed to kidnap a child, and contain them inside of her chest cavity; this, of course, would not happen unless the child was completely alone. This was all so he could acquire Remnant. He so desperately kept his own daughter, Elizabeth, away from his creation. She loved Baby though, constantly asking her father to let her see her, the answer was always no. Whenever she visited Pizza World, she always asked if she could go near. She snuck away one day, whilst William was concerned with other customers at the restaurant. A moment was all it took until she was snatched up by Baby, and killed.Circus Baby's Pizza World was shut down, closed. This only brought William more grief.He tells his children to never go near the animatronics ever again. Michael was no issue, he was an older child, thinking he would have no interest in these childish animatronics. Evan, however, would be difficult to control. William uses Illusion Discs to manipulate Evan's mind when he sleeps. The boy is hunted by nightmare versions of his father's creations, only having a flashlight to protect him. It felt so real, this traumatizes Evan so much he constantly cries when in the vicinity of an animatronic, real or fake. His brother Michael is not a good brother. He often bullies his brother with a Foxy mask. This prank, however, would surely drive his younger brother away from the animatronics for good.Fredbear's is still open, Michael wants to have Evan's party here, much to the fear of Evan. He is ridiculed for crying all the time, all the way there. Michael and his friends don the masks of the Fazbear crew and drag Evan up to the stage, where Fredbear resides. A springlock suit.Evan, terrified, begging through tears, is not let go. His head is inside the suit. His tears run into the springlocks. A crack resounds through the diner, no one moves, not even Evan. He is no longer crying, begging, or moving. This was the Bite of '83.At the hospital, Michael says his final apologies before leaving William and Evan alone. Evan relives the nightmares of what his father did to him. He sees Fredbear, they are still his friends, they say. It will put him back together. He flatlines.Fredbear's closes, Henry cuts ties with William.

1987:
Henry is back to square one. He compiles a team of reliable employees, wanting to recreate what he and his partner did so wrongly years ago. He decided to reintroduce the famous Fazbear crew, with a more cartoony, vibrant design. These were no longer springlock designs, but were animatronics with endoskeletons that could function every limb. He also introduced Balloon Boy, a very child-like creation he thought would fare well with the children.He could never let William back into the business, he couldn't risk it. He programmed facial recognition to all of his animatronics to make sure that they could tell whether the person in front of them was William or not.Much like his old friend, his children came first. His daughter came first. He needed to protect her from these creations. or even William himself. After the incidents happened and piled up, he had to think of a way to keep his family safe. His idea was to create an animatronic solely dedicated to protecting his precious Charlotte. The Puppet. Kept in a box in the dining room, opening to see all of Charlotte's whereabouts.When Evan died, William blamed his oldest son, his only son, Michael. Blamed him for doing such an awful thing to his brother. He had no time to blame, he caught wind of a new restaurant opening up, a new rebooted Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria. William rushed to this restaurant right away, wanting to jump at this new opportunity with his partner.What happened did not end well. Henry was furious at the audacity of William. He would never let him back into this business, whether they created it together or not. He drove William out, feeling relieved seeing the car disappear.William was enraged. He needed to do something, to get this anger out. His target? The child of the man he once called a friend. His plan was to cover Puppet's box, have Charlotte leave the Pizzeria and kill her.The Puppet's box was sealed, it could not open. Some children kept it shut. Charlotte was outside of the Pizzeria, shut out. William opened the door to his car and the girl rushed to him, she knew him from all the times he and her father met. He led her away from the Pizzeria. Then he left.The Puppet was too late by the time it found Charlotte laying in the rain. Henry found them both in the alleyway. Henry did not close the business. If he did, William would've won. He leaves the location to his team, and takes a break.William puts on his Springbonnie suit, hidden in Parts and Service, and kills another five children in the same building he killed Charlotte.The Puppet brought the original MCI victims back to life, putting their souls into the suits they were stuffed inside. It also put the recent victims into the suits of the toy animatronics, as well as Balloon Boy. Evan was also brought back, placed into the suit he was killed by. Fredbear.In light of the second Missing Children's Incident (MCI2), William is arrested, but is released due to lack of evidence, no bodies were found.The soul's trapped inside the animatronics were angry, they wanted revenge on the man that killed them. Acting normal during the day, carrying on how they did originally, but they would always move after the place closed. They checked every night to see if the night guard at the premises was William, out for his blood.Jeremy Fitzgerald was the new night guard assigned at Freddy's. He was told the reason that the animatronics get restless at night is because they were never given a night mode. When the Pizzeria gets quiet, they go to the room where the people are, where Jeremy is.Foxy looked far too scary to the children. They repeatedly tore it apart to the point the staff were too tired to fix it. They started to refer to it as Mangle. It became erratic, malfunctioning. One night, Jeremy encountered Mangle, who bit off his frontal lobe. This later became known as the Bite of '87. This location promptly shuts down, and the toy animatronics are scrapped.

1993:
The building was on lockdown. Henry was contacted to work on a smaller location. He would be the one creating these animatronics to avoid casualties, he was the only one that could do this. A new Freddy's Pizzeria opened. The budget lower than previous locations, but seemed safer. Henry spent long hours working on fixing the old animatronics, making them simply for singing and dancing, like Fredbear and Springbonnie did so long ago. Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy were back.Michael Afton has had enough of his father's creations. He heard of the new Pizzeria, deciding to end it once and for all. He applied as the security guard. He did not find his father, but he had to fight off the animatronics who were angry at his father. He left this location, and it closed down shortly after.

After 1993:
He had Circus Baby across from him, the memories of his daughter driving him insane. He crafted more animatronics that night; Funtime Freddy, Funtime Foxy, Ballora, Bidybabs and Minirinas. Ballora was a graceful ballerina animatronic, who could dance, sing and spin.William's new business was kept out of public view. It was an entertainment and rental service, where customers can rent out animatronics for their birthday parties, named 'Circus Baby's Entertainment and Rentals'.//at this point the franchise has opened and closed so many Freddy's Pizzerias that i'm honestly not going to bother trying to explain how this happens for the next few times it happens//Another Freddy's location opens as the previous closes.William knows that the spirits of the children are still inside of the animatronics. His infatuation with immortality grew and he wanted to go to the Freddy's location. He would remove the Remnant from these animatronics, and use it for himself. Dismantling these animatronics, the children are freed from their eternal cage. They surround him in the backroom, but he sees his old Springbonnie suit. He puts it on quickly, but the moisture from being forgotten for years has taken over the suit. The springlocks fail, William is crushed inside of his own creation. The souls watch, their killer's soul being trapped inside of the endoskeleton, like they once were.Michael went to free his sister's soul, being told to after William said so. After running through a series of tests and several nights of horror, Michael is put into a springlock suit by Funtime Foxy. Until this point, Circus Baby (Elizabeth) had guided Michael through the long nights. Foxy attacks Michael, he wakes up inside of a springlock suit, where Baby explains what room he was in; the Scooper Room. The Scooper was used to remove the endoskeleton from the casing, this was for repairs and maintenance. Before Baby could finish, Michael is rescued by two technicians that remove the springlock suit and he goes home.The next day, Michael decides to fix Circus Baby. He finds the technicians dead by hanging whilst he tries to check on the animatronics. He enters the Scooping Room. Uh oh! Bad decision Michael.The Funtime animatronics were scooped. Their endoskeletons fused into Ennard. He is told the animatronics have been inside of the room today already.'The Scooper only hurts for a moment.'Michael is killed. Ennard enters his corpse. It escapes into the day, acting as Michael. Since the host is human, the body gradually decomposes, scaring the people in the neighborhood, who hide every time Michael leaves his home. The body cannot take anymore, it collapses, and Ennard is forced to escape into the sewers. Michael should be dead. Baby's voice chants that he won't die. He does not die, he realizes this must be his sister giving him a second chance, he stands up. He would find his father.Baby controlled Ennard. The funtime animatronics did not like this, she was too controlling, so they ejected her. The wires stayed unkempt, collecting scraps of metal and parts to create a new face. This would become Molten Freddy, creating a new monstrous version of itself. Baby did the same, becoming Scrap Baby.

2023 (yes, a 30 year time skip):A new location, Fazbear Frights, is opened up because of myths and rumors concerning the past of Fredbear's Family Diner and Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria. Items from previous locations were brought to fill the new location. One prop was William, whose deteriorated suit was now known as Springtrap. Michael heard of Fazbear's Frights opening, and he knew that one item was not like the rest. He would finally see his father again after 30 long years, wanting to confront him for the death of their family. He becomes the nightguard, once again battling the animatronics, with the addition of his long term goal - finding his father. He burns down the horror attraction, hoping his father would be caught within it. This does not work. The animatronics left over are free, their souls freed. The souls inside of Freddy, Chica, Bonnie and Foxy can be put to rest. The souls that possessed the Puppet and Golden Freddy were all that remained, wanting to end William, remaining vengeful. William escaped the fire.Henry for the past few years has struggled to make sense of how William could do this (much like my struggle to understand how this fucking story has gone on for so long), how could he carry on with his lost daughter, inside of that Puppet? Henry records his feelings about everything that's happened. He comes up with an idea, he has to fight William head on, he has to call every animatronic into one place to destroy them.Knowing he no longer had the budget to open up a brand new location on his own, he turned to an employer to do it for him. They could make the new pizzeria the way they wanted, Henry just built ideas with them, salvaging the animatronics and having the employer take on the role as the 'Pizzeria Manager'. He missed his dear Charlotte, he wanted to put her to rest. He created L.E.F.T.Y, whose purpose was to extract his child's soul. Together they opened 'Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place', catching the attention of the people, and those who weren't people. It would be the final resting place of these animatronics.Michael meets many old faces. He works nightly to salvage the animatronics, being hired by Henry. Molten Freddy, who he gathers as a mess of all the old Funtime animatronics, Lefty, who he had never seen previously, Scrap Baby, who he knew as his beloved sister, and Springtrap. His father, who had also come to see the final moments of the last decades of nightmares. The only other person working here was Henry. He made a big deal about Saturday, he knew he had something planned.His final night there, Saturday, the animatronics came at him again. His mother's voice called out to him, he knew it wasn't her, it was Ballora. She wanted to kill him to set him free, Molten Freddy appeared in the vent, Springtrap arriving in the room. These animatronics could not attack, Henry lit a fire with all of them trapped inside, and he intended to go down with it. Henry speaks, telling the spirits that this is the end, that they should give up their spirits since they do not belong to them. He tells William that the darkest pit in Hell is waiting for him, he also says his goodbyes to his daughter. There was now only one spirit who did not want to rest. Cassidy. One of the first victims of William, stuffed into the Golden Freddy suit. Giving him an eternal hell.William is haunted by every creation he has laid his hands on. This goes on for what feels like centuries. Old Man Consequences, convinces Cassidy to finally rest, William's sentence paid, so Cassidy rests.//we are FINALLY done with these characters...ish.//2023 OnwardsHenry wanted to erase the Fazbear Entertainment company after the fire. The company had other ideas though. They started an app, where customers could have an animatronic delivered to their house. They not only sold merchandise but also a rogue indie game developer created a game series based on the events from the last half century. The popularity of these games caught the company's eyes. They found out who it was, and brought them on board to develop a virtual reality game, Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted. These games were designed to make light of what happened, a cover up of the cover up.Vanessa is a woman that was hired to work on this new VR game. She meets Jeremy, the man who was the main beta tester of this game.They wanted to build a Pizzaplex, somewhere they could gain profit after the tremendous loss of the two leaders William and Henry. They decided to build this on top of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place. Someone from the company found unused code from the remains of the old animatronics, telling the team to use this code to speed up development. One piece of code belonged to Springtrap, and just like the others, was scanned into the game.//here we go again//'The Anomaly' appears to Jeremy. He informs the team about this but is dismissed, regarding it as a bug that they could fix later. He experienced nightmares, hearing things, seeing things, but no one believed him, so he took this into his own hands. Vanessa went to work early. She could make out Jeremy in the dark supply room but paid no attention.Jeremy could not take it any longer, formerly Springtrap, now Glitchtrap, tried to possess him to get back into the real world. He sliced his face off using a paper guillotine. Another employee informed the higher ups of Jeremy's death, and the company started panicking over a possible lawsuit over the suicide on the job. Vanessa was called to replace Jeremy's role in being the beta tester. She logs her discoveries, seeing that Jeremy was right, Glitchtrap was there. He attaches himself to the files that Vanessa creates, which she is unable to delete. Instead, she breaks up the tapes, telling the person that listens to them to never put them back together. Glitchtrap possesses Vanessa, taking some control of her mind. She is now a follower of his, she leaves the company and does everything Glitchtrap wants unwillingly. She even creates her own suit, Vanny.

2024-2028Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex! It opens after years of revenue from their delivery service and VR game, featuring a new set of almost like-life animatronics. Montgomery Gator, Roxanne Wolf, Glamrock Chica and Freddy Fazbear. There used to be Bonnie, but he was decommissioned. Montgomery Gator was thought to have destroyed him in order to become the bass player of the group. Vanessa becomes security guard at this establishment after being recommended by one of the people at the top of the company. She has her office where she studied about Remnant and how to bring William into a real body. She causes disappearances much like how William did, killing children to extract Remnant. She goes through several therapists during this time, each one ending up missing or dead. They got too close to the truth, so Vanessa ended their investigations.Gregory is a child that Freddy discovers hidden in his chest cavity. He promises to get the child out of the Pizzaplex, but as midnight strikes the pair are unable to leave, the doors locking right before Gregory can exit. Now he must last until 6AM, he encounters several animatronics: Sunrise, Moondrop, Montgomery (Monty), Roxanne (Roxy), Chica, as well as the worker bots. He also sees Vanny, who is out to get him. When 6AM hits, Gregory decides to stay and uncover the secrets of the Pizzaplex with Freddy.Vanny tampered with Freddy and used him to dig their way down into the old restaurant, Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place. She acquired William's old suit, Burntrap (Springtrap) and preserved it inside of a recharge station. Though William was suffering in his Hell, this version of him was free. Vanny used the Remnant to transfer William inside of Glitchtrap into Burntrap, where he would be later freed when Gregory and Freddy come down to investigate. What none of them knew, was Molten Freddy, an abomination of an amalgamation of every old animatronic thrown into the fire when Henry burned it all years ago, resided inside of the building. Gregory tries to burn Burntrap who continuously attempts to possess Freddy. Molten Freddy notices that William is still alive after all this time, and takes it into its own hands to grab Burntrap amongst the burning environment as Gregory and Freddy escape. They sit on the hill where all the graves of the murdered children were.

imagine needing a rundown of fnafyou play as a security guard trying to protect yourself from animatronics that come alive during the night. you have to survive from 12am to 6am for 5 nights. sometimes this varies especially in later games, where the 5 nights concept gets thrown out the window. you have minimal tools like flashlights and security cameras to help you (once again tossed during later games). hope this clears some stuff up :) - mika

Why does William start killing kids? Beats me. Perhaps he could've been obsessed with immortality from the start.Henry's wife left him, taking their son with her ig.William's wife is actually unnamed. Clara was used because she is a character in 'The Immortal and the Restless', a TV show Michael watches during Sister Location, resembling the relationship between his parents. Yes, I did insinuate that Ballora was Clara's soul, just a theory though.Ennard probably killed the 2 technicians in Sister Location out of hatred for humans.Michael probably survived after Ennard left his body because of remaining Remnant.Regarding L.E.F.T.Y, his purpose was to retrieve Charlotte's soul. Yes, she is inside of the Puppet. L.E.F.T.E (the procedure), was to Lure. Encapsulate. Fuse. Transport and Extract, purely to find the Puppet and get free Charlotte's soul.Monty probably replaces Bonnie. In Monty Golf, the arcade game's final stage shows a map of Monty becoming frontman of the band, perhaps he killed Bonnie and is aiming for Freddy next.
